The result will be published live on Rob Dunger's Saturday morning programme on Radio Suffolk programme (104.6Mhz FM) at 7.10am on 24th August during their top news spot.

Having spoken to the village all book clerk, Diana Bilverston I propose that we have a gathering in the Village Hall annexe that morning for anyone who wants to be there, that means anyone in the village who wants to be part of the event. Please could “rent-a-crowd” be there? Not necessarily to have their photograph take this time but to make a lot of noise is we win!

I know it's very, very early and some of you won't know that hour actually exists, but if you can get yourself down there it would be brilliant.

Doors will open at 6.45am and there will be an endless supply of strong coffee, tea and anything else I can rustle up. We might even have a bottle of bubbly on ice in reserve in case we win.

Great Barton Village Hall, awarded Village Hall of the Year by Suffolk A.C.R.E. in 2007, runner-up in 2009 & 2010, makes an ideal venue for commercial meetings, community groups, public events, private parties, weddings & conferences. It has a main hall & several meeting rooms for hire. Recently extended and refurbished to a very high standard. Complete with a large car park it is conveniently located only 3 miles from Bury St. Edmunds on the A143 in the centre of village opposite the Esso Garage. Adjacent is a large playing field with a football pitch and an illuminated training area.
